İznik TSO Council President Osman Koyutürk has passed away

İznik Chamber of Commerce and Industry Council President Osman Koyutürk has passed away. Releasing a message regarding the death of Koyutürk, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We are deeply grieved by the loss of one of the most respectable people and valuable businessman of our community, the İznik Chamber of Commerce and Industry Council President Osman Koyutürk. I pray for the grace of Allah upon him and present my condolences to his family and to the business world.”​ ​

The world tourism sector will meet in İstanbul

The United Nations Tourism Summit, where the future of world’s cities will be discussed, will be hosted by Turkey. The United Nations World Tourism Organization City Tourism Global Summit will take place on the 15th of November, 2012 at the İstanbul Haliç Congress Center, organized by the Culture and Tourism Ministry and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).​ ​

Turkish-French Chamber of Commerce to be established

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the President of the French Chambers Union, André Marcon held an informal meeting with the members of the press in İstanbul. Attending the meeting were TOBB Board Vice Presidents Tanıl Küçük and Halim Mete, Turkish-French Association Chair Zeynep Necipoğlu and the representatives of various prominent French brands in Turkey.​ ​

Turkish and French business communities will work together in Central Asia, the Middle East, the Balkans and Africa

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the President of CCI France André Marcon visited the European Union Minister and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağış. Stating that Turkey has plans to extend trade to Africa and that there are many French speaking countries in Africa, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that they have agreed in principle with the French business community to cooperate in Central Asia, the Middle East, the Balkans and Africa.​ ​
