We need to improve the maritime sector

  In the opening speech of the Council of Chambers of Maritime Trade, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that in recent years, maritime sector has developed rapidly and became a leading sector in providing both employment and foreign exchange. Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that shipbuilding industry, maritime transport and port investments should be promoted in coordination. ​ ​

Economic Growth is the Outcome of the Increase in Private Sector Invesments

President of TOBB M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu made a speech in the “2009 Tax Awards Ceremony” organised by the Presidency of Konya Tax Authority and the Konya Chamber of Commerce. He emphasized that Turkish economy grew 8.9 percent in the first 9 months of the year and it is the outcome of the 4.5 percent increase in private sector investments. He mentioned that Turkey is 12th out of 16 countries that got through the phase of economic crisis. ​ ​

Hisarcıklıoğlu paid a visit to Ankara International Logistics Base

M. Rifat Hisarcıkoğlu, the President of TOBB paid a visit to the logistics center in Ankara. He said investment in this sector, is the right type of investment. He added “Ankara would constitute a base for logistics and a role model for other regions” Hisarciklioglu stressed the importance of transport sector for Turkey. He said that the new production center will be based  to the east of  Turkey thus revitalizing the Historical Silk Road is a very important opportunity for both Turkey and the wider region. ​ ​

The Industry Strategy Document must be the route of Turkey’s industry

May Turkey be the shining star of the New Year

In his New Year message, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu wished peace and prosperity to our country and all mankind. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Turkish business world will do its part to make Turkey the shining star of 2011 and added “We will work together for more investment, more employment and better living standards for our people.”   ​ ​
