Turkish Private Sector Invests in the Country’s Future

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the “Adding Value to the Economy Award Ceremony” held at the Çerkezköy Chamber of Trade and Industry. Stating that the Turkish private sector has made 76 billion lira’s of investments in the country’s future. He went on to say that the Turkish private sector, which has enabled Turkey to be one of the 5 fastest growing economies in the world, deserves a medal.​ ​

Hisarcıklıoğlu: We are going to clean up the Ergene

The President of The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, stated in his speech at the opening of the Credit Guarantee Fund Çorlu Branch Office in Çorlu, Tekirdağ that, “In addition to causing costs and environmental pollution to increase, scattered industrialization hampers our ability to make the best use of our fertile farmlands. The pollution in the Ergene River is an example of this.”

The Taxation of the Automotive Sector Should Be On Par With EU Countries

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his speech at the “Automotive Sector’s Future” conference held by the Authorized Automotive Dealers Association (OYDER) stated that the costs of taxation and input for the automotive sector should be brought to a similar level as found in the European Union countries, registration for the second-hand motorized vehicle trade to be brought into effect and for the motorized vehicles tax to be reformed as the environmental pollution tax.​ ​

The president of The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), Mr. M. Civil Society Platform's call on EU Membership Process

The meeting is held in cooperation of Economic Development Foundation (IKV) and Turkey Europe Association (TAV) on 22 April 2011 in Istanbul. With the participation of more than 100 civil society organizations and university representatives, “Civil Society Platform for Turkey’s EU Membership Process" is formed. Platform agreed on a joint declaration at the end of the meeting. ​ ​
