Important mission for TOBB from CERN

TOBB representative Hakan Kızıltoprak was elected Chairman of the Industrial Contact Representatives Board of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu congratulated Kızıltoprak and said, “It is imperative for sustainable success at CERN to increase the human power and take collective steps with public institutions. This is an indication of our successful interactions with CERN. TOBB CERN Industry Liaison Office provides support at every step for our industrialists in CERN public tenders.”​

We believe that the problem will soon be resolved through dialogue

M. Rifat Hisarciklioglu, President of the Turkish Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB), who assessed the US and Turkey's visa requirements said, “Turkey and the United States, the strongest members of NATO have strong relations founded on economic, social and political aspects. The strength of this relationship gives us hope that the issue will be resolved through dialogue. We believe that the problem will be overcome in a short period through the diplomatic processes.” ​

“Venezuela and Turkey can create much stronger partnerships”

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his speech at the Turkey-Venezuela Business Forum that their bilateral trade volume of 350mn USD has fallen to 83mn USD in the last 3 years due to troubles, “We believe and hope that Venezuela Turkey can create much stronger partnerships.”​

Turkish business community to increase investments in Uzbekistan

Speaking at the business luncheon attended by Uzbek Prime Minister Vice Prime Minister Jamshid Kuchkarov, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that they want to increase investments in and mutual trade with Uzbekistan. While underlining their readiness to cooperate in many sectors, Kuchkarov said that they want to take advantage of the experiences of Turkish businessmen in build-operate-transfer projects.​

Cyprus should be an island of stability in the Eastern Mediterranean

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended a business luncheon with the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Industry delegation. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We, the Turkish business community, want to invest more in Cyprus and increase mutual trade. We support the efforts of the Cyprus solution and we want Cyprus to be an island of prosperity and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean.”​

The economy cannot take off without women entrepreneurs

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, who participated in the Bingöl National Women Entrepreneurship Congress, stated that the women who constitute the half of the population should be in the economic life, "This is the biggest obstacle in front of our enrichment. Women need to actively participate in the economy. She must change her thoughts that she should only stay at home. "​
