Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

UMEM Ability’10 courses opening in May will provide employment to 1,500 people. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that 115 UMEM Ability’10 courses opening in the May 2015 term will provide vocational training to approximately 1,500 people and those successful will find employment at the end of the course.​

Speaking at the Congress of the World Chambers Federation which represents 12,000 chambers of commerce and industry, B20 Turkey Chair and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that SMEs are the only way to sustain growth, urging all chamber presidents to act with this in mind.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stressed that the new resource of the necessary growth could not be considered independent of innovation in production and exports, “The most important factor of Turkey’s new story should be to rapidly increase the ratio of high technology in our industry. This is a must-have for sustainable growth.”​

The 20th General Assembly of the Association of Installation and Building Industry Materials (TİMKODER) was attended by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.​

The cooperation agreement between Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry was signed by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chair Aigars Rostovskis.​

EUROCHAMBRES General Assembly took place in Jūrmala, Latvia.​

Turkic Council Business Council’s unofficial meeting took place on June 4th, 2015, in Jūrmala, Latvia with the attendance of TOBB President and EUROCHAMBRES Vice Chair M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.​

TOBB, along with the Credit Registry Bureau, held an inaugural meeting attended by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan for QR Coded Cheques which will enter into circulation on June 15th in order to lower the risks of dishonored checks as well as increasing the health of the domestic commerce market.​

The second B20 Taskforces Joint Meeting was held in Paris. Attended by approximately 300 members and non-members of G20, the meeting focused on youth unemployment and improving the participation of women in the workforce; pointing to the significance and urgency of these issues.​
