Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Sakarya Commodity Exchange

59 Sector Councils convened for consultation meeting

The 59 sector councils working under TOBB have convened for a consultation meeting. Speaking at the meeting held at the TOBB Union Center in Ankara, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the sector councils’ strength came from legislation and emphasized its “cooperating, not conflicting; uniting, not separating” structure.​ ​

Hisarcıklıoğlu urges the continuation of structural economic reforms

Speaking at the opening of the TOBB Chambers of Commerce Council Meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, speaking of the problems afflicting the world economy stated that opportunity could be seized from adversity. Saying that precautions against current deficit and fragile structures must be made, Hisarcıklıoğlu urged that precautions to ameliorate the investment environment be followed through.​ ​

Terror attacks cannot disturb our unity and solidarity

In his speech regarding the terrorist attack in the Pervari county of Siirt wherein 6 soldiers were martyred and another 11 injured, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “These attacks are the vile and dishonorable hate campaign of those who are offended by the unity and solidarity of the Republic of Turkey, of those who fear people living in peace.”​ ​

Courage and perception are required for entrepreneurship, not money

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu presented the participants of the 13th Turkish Speaking Entrepreneurs with their certificates. Hisarcıklıoğlu addressed the guest entrepreneurs, saying, “Always dream big, don’t be afraid and never give up,” and told them that courage and perception are required for entrepreneurship, not money.​ ​

Tourism plays a big role in paying off the current deficit

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu made important announcements in Alanya. Requesting tax relief for the tourism sector, Hisarcıklıoğlu also supported the regulation which would make it easier for foreigners to acquire real estate in Turkey. The TOBB President emphasized that the Gazipaşa Airport needs to open up to international flights if Alanya is to become a brand name city.​ ​

We want the European economy to recover from the crisis as soon as possible

Answering questions during his Alanya visit, the TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu was Channel Alanya TV’s live guest. Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that the crisis in Europe has regressed the economy 700 billion dollars, “When you consider that 60% of our exports are made to Europe, any crises there affects us negatively. Therefore we want them to recover as soon as possible.”​ ​
