TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu hosted Egyptian business people delegation under the presidency of Ahmet Al Wakil President of Federation of Trade, Industry and Agriculture Chambers of Egypt at working luncheon in İstanbul. ​

Union of Chamber and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board member and Konya Chamber of Commerce President Selçuk Öztürk has become TOBB Vice President. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu expressing that deceased İbrahim Çağlar provided important service to the business world, he also wished Selçuk Öztürk success for his new duty. ​

Monthly ordinary meeting of TOBB Board of Directors was held in TOBB Twin Towers.​

Issuing a letter of condolences for the decease of Karadeniz Ereğli Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO) President Yaşar Tetiker, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu announced that as the community they lost a significant chamber president who had carried out important services for business world and they were in deep sorrow.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended Turkey – Uzbekistan Business Forum held in Tashkent. At the Forum development of co-operation possibilities have been discussed.​

Speaking at Industry Night Event 2017 meeting organised by Kayseri Chamber of Industry (KAYSO) TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu revealed the recipe for success as shared wisdom and acting in unison. Hisarcıklıoğlu highlighted that the figures for economic growth are pleasing and promising.​

Speaking at Council Meeting of Trade and Industry Chambers TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stating that this Turkey displayed a better performance than expected, said "Despite all the internal and external obstacles that we had face, Turkey’s economy and our real sector are solid and dynamic." Hisarcıklıoğlu indicating that finance burden of the companies also increased, also said that he had confidence in support for such matters shall be provided.​

The opening ceremony for TOBB Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Şırnak build by TOBB held by the attendance of TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Minister of Environment and Urbanisation Mehmet Özhaseki and Governor of Şırnak Mehmet Aktaş.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu along with Minister of Environment and Urban Planning Mehmet Özhaseki inaugurated Cizre Divan Hotel.​

Speaking at TOBB Chamber of Commerce Council meeting TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said “We should not crow over the positive outcomes that we achieved in 2017, we should pay sufficient attention to the risks. But at the same time we should not overlook the opportunities. In 2018 global growth and trade looks like to be better than this year. Accordingly we must take our share of this. We must maintain incentives for employment, production and trade. Working hand in hand public and private sectors, we can make high growth pace permanent.”​
