Trabzon Exchange’s projects will multiply profits from nuts
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the opening of the Trabzon Commodity Exchange’s multipurpose meeting hall. Exchange Board Chair Şükrü Güngör Köleoğlu and Council Chair Mehmet Cirav hosted the event during which TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu spoke in regards to the projects aiming to increase quality of nuts by the Trabzon Commodity Exchange.

We can’t shoulder the burden of minimum wage by ourselves
Speaking at the KAYSO 2015 Industry Night, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that increasing minimum wage to 1,300 TRY would collective cost companies 26 billion TRY and that this would cause them to lose their competitive power if these costs are put on the employer.

Increased trade between D-8 countries will boost Islamic countries
Speaking at the meeting of the D-8 countries’ chambers of commerce and industry, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We must lead the way in regards to issues such as the Preferential Trade Agreement, Joint Arbitration, Visas, development of trade corridors as high-capacity countries. Increasing our intragroup trade and economic relations will also provide a boost to Islamic countries.”

Call for ECO countries to sign agreement to facilitate trade
During the Economic Cooperation organization Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECO CCI) 20th Executive Council Meeting, emphasis was put on increasing cooperation between countries, eliminating restrictions to trade such as visas, strengthening infrastructure through modernizing border customs. A call was made to sign the ECOTA Agreement which aims to facilitate trade.
