Türkiye Retail Council convened

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Retail Council Meeting was held by video conference method with the participation of TOBB Board Member Cengiz Günay, who is responsible for the Council, and Burak Kaplan, Head of the Retail Trade Department of the Ministry of Trade, General Directorate of Domestic Trade, with the participation of senior representatives of the private sector and non-governmental organizations under the chairmanship of the Council President Alp Önder Özpamukçu.​
TOBB Board Member Cengiz Günay conveyed the greetings of TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and stated that he closely follows all the problems of the retail sector, which is the lifeblood of the economy, and expressed his pleasure to be together with the sector representatives.
Alp Önder Özpamukçu, Council President, expressed his thanks for seeing an intense participation in the Council Meeting convened with a single agenda and emphasized the importance of sharing the issues of importance for the sector with Public Institutions.
At the meeting, the Draft Regulation Amending the Regulation on Principles and Rules to be Applied in Retail Trade was discussed and the opinions and suggestions regarding the Draft Regulation and the reservations of the sector representatives were evaluated.
Mr. Burak Kaplan, Head of Retail Trade Department at the Ministry of Trade, General Directorate of Domestic Trade, answered questions from the sector and shared the message that they are always open to cooperation.
