Visit to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations Türkiye Office

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) paid a return visit to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Türkiye Office to evaluate cooperation opportunities for geographical indications and local development.​
Within the scope of the visit, projects, technical cooperation and joint work areas that will contribute to the rural economy between FAO and TOBB were discussed.
The meeting was hosted by FAO Türkiye Representative Dr. Ayşegül Selışık and Senior Program Coordinator Özcan Türkoğlu, while the TOBB delegation included SME Policy Manager Cahit Ceren and SME Policy Expert - Lawyer Aslı Parmak.
The visit demonstrated that the constructive dialogue and cooperation between FAO and TOBB will continue to strengthen in order to increase the contribution of geographical indications to local producers and regional development.
