Commercial Registry Offices Black Sea Region Information Meeting in Samsun

Organized by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and the Ministry of Trade, and hosted by the Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (STSO), the Black Sea Region Information Meeting of the Commercial Registry Directorates assessed recent developments in commercial registry practices.​

- Murzioğlu: “Trade registry processes are of vital importance to the business world”

The meeting, which featured opening remarks by Salih Zeki Murzioğlu, Vice Chairman of the TOBB Board of Directors and Chairman of the Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board of Directors, and Hüseyin Altındal, Deputy Director General for Domestic Trade at the Ministry of Trade, was attended by 63 staff members from trade registry directorates across 45 chambers of commerce and industry.

Salih Zeki Murzioğlu noted that commercial registry offices are one of the most fundamental service areas for the business community, emphasizing that they play a critical role in documenting the processes through which businesses acquire their legal identity.

Murzioğlu highlighted the importance of strengthening consistency in practices and coordination among trade registry offices from different provinces, expressing his belief that the meeting would make significant contributions in this regard.

Hüseyin Altındal, meanwhile, emphasized that their goal is to establish a predictable and effective registry system.

- Commercial registry applications were reviewed over four sessions

In the first session, Mehmet Deniz Ernalbant and Ronay Akbaş, Trade Specialists from the General Directorate of Domestic Trade at the Ministry of Trade, presented on “Electronic Commercial Ledger System (ETDS) Process Management.” In the second session, Osman Faruk Karataş, a trade expert from the General Directorate of Internal Trade at the Ministry of Trade, discussed “MERSIS and Commercial Registry Applications.” In the third session, Recep Yılmaz, Director of the Companies Department at the General Directorate of Internal Trade, “Commercial Registry Applications and Company Mergers,” and in the fourth and final session, Gökhan Mirahmetoğlu, Director of the Türkiye Commercial Registry Gazette at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, presented on “Information Regarding Company Incorporation in the Electronic Environment and the Application of Article 392/7 of the Turkish Commercial Code.” A question-and-answer session was held at the end of each session.

Serkan Yüksel, Director of the Commercial Registry Department at the General Directorate of Internal Trade under the Ministry of Trade, answered questions from the participants.
