New Turkish Debts and Commercial Laws Symposium held at TOBB ETU

The New Turkish Debts and Commercial Laws Symposium, lasting two days, was held at TOBB-ETU Faculty of Law.
Speaking during the opening of the symposium, TOBB-ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Altunbaşak stated that when one thinks of commerce, one thinks prosperity and there are two ways in which to ensure prosperity. One is “to manufacture something and sell it”, which Altunbaşak says China does, and “buying and selling products” which Dubai does. Altunbaşak emphasized the importance of commerce to ensure prosperity.Altunbaşak drew attention to the importance of developing physical infrastructure and legislation in order to develop commerce, and the importance of the law organizing society.Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) Justice Commission President Ahmet İyimaya provided information on the work in progress by the TBMM Justice Commission on the New Turkish Debt and Turkish Commercial Law.
