During the meeting, the contradictions found in legislation concerning the passenger transport sector; private public buses; decisions of the Transportation Coordination Centers which damage the road passenger transport sector; obligatory use of Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge by intercity buses; high costs related to the use of highways and bridges, and the lack of consultation and evaluation by sector representatives while preparing legislation were discussed.
TOBB Board Member Bülent Karakuş expressed satisfaction with the fact that the council meeting has taken place at the Turkish Grand National Assembly and emphasized his belief that the problems of the road passenger transport sector are going to be solved with the support of their Parliamentary Representatives.
