During the first part of the meeting, council members provided information regarding their sub-sectors.

It was pointed out that the growth targets of the soda industry, which is the sub-sector of the chemical industry, have been mostly met, while chromium chemicals are experiencing declines compared to the last year.

Trends in the other sub-sectors were evaluated. The problems in the collection and payment directives experienced by the sector were also discussed.

The increase in the foreign exchange rate, the high raw material prices in the chemical sector, which is dependent on the outsourcing, and the negative effects on the sector were stated.
