Speaking at the meeting, Şahin Bilgiç stated that the Sectoral Councils are the most important sectoral consultation platform in which the ministries and public administrations related to the biggest companies operating in the sector are represented, “The private sector and the public administration meet here and consult at the same table. They discuss the issues, working together and preparing solution proposals. Agreed upon proposals are passed on to the parliament and government. This way, unity of thought and the roadmap of the sector are determined by consensus. The opinions prepared by our sector councils also contribute greatly to the legislative drafting process. As TOBB, we are carrying out a number of activities to relay proposals from the sector councils to relevant authorities. We bring the issues up on the agenda before ministries.”
