As a part of the G20 Leaders Summit, prominent business community representatives – a single representative from each country - met with the G20 leaders during the G20-B20 Dialogue Meeting, TOBB president and B20 Turkey Chairman Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu represented Turkey.
Following the G20-B20 Dialogue Meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated in his assessments that meeting with the G20 leaders on a platform such as this is a great opportunity for the business community, “Thanks to this meeting, we found opportunity to directly relay the issues encountered by the business community to the leaders of G20. It has been my honor to participate in this meeting representing Turkey.”
Relating the outlook of global economy from the viewpoint of a developing country, Turkey, to the G20 leaders during the meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that their expectations as the business community from the G20 leaders is for them to back policies which support companies, especially SMEs.
Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that G20 needs to be more active as a global arbitration platform, stating that G20 countries are also responsible for integrating non-G20 countries into the system.
