Making the opening speech of the meeting, the TOBB Deputy Secretary General Ä°skender Elverdi emphasized that the incentive system has been discussed for years but that a system which would please all parties involved has yet to be found. Stating that a system that supports everyone cannot be an incentive system, Elverdi said that they plan to assess the views of the private sector regarding the system.
The Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy Ä°brahim Åženel drew attention to the importance of consulting with and listening to the views of entrepreneurs as to how the incentives system should work. Ä°brahim Åženel stated that they were pleased with the coherence between the investment, production and export bases.
TEPAV Director Prof. Dr. Güven Sak talked about the difficulty of creating a perfect investment system that would please everyone. Prof. Sak touched on ways to improve the present system's tools and stated that the key to reaching Turkey's top 10 economy goal was to increase productivity.
The sector council representatives attending the meeting shared their views and suggestions regarding the issue.
