Born on February 25th, 1968 in Bursa-Karacabey, Özer Matlı graduated from Bursa Trade High School and left his higher education due to his interest in trade. He joined his late father Ömer Matlı, who is among the respected merchants and industrialists of Karacabey, in business life. In addition to his paddy factory and other commercial activities, he also served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of MATLI Feed Industry and Trade Co. Inc. at the same. In 1995, after the death of his father Ömer Matlı, he assumed the post of Chairman of the Board of Directors. Özer Matlı is still the Chairman of the Board of MATLI Group of Companies.

 

Özer Matlı served as Vice-Chairman of the Assembly between 1995-1999 at Karacabey Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as a Member of Assembly between 1999-2005 and as President of the Board of Directors between 2005-2013.During this term, he was also a member of the TOBB Appeals Commission, the Council of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of TOBB and the High Advisory Board.

 

Özer MATLI, who was elected as the President of the Board of Directors of Bursa Commodity Exchange in May 2013 and has continued this duty, also served as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Credit Guarantee Fund (KGF) and as a Commodity Exchanges Council member.

 

Elected to the Board of TOBB in May 2018 at the 74th TOBB General Assembly, Özer Matlı is married and father of 3 children.
