President of the Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Gül, received the Turkey – EU Joint Arbitration Council (KİK) delegation. The reception took place at the Çankaya Palace, closed to the press.​

EU – Turkey Joint Arbitration Committee (KİK) members visited Turkey Kamu-Sen to celebrate them on their new service building and the newly held general assembly. Present during the visit were TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, EU – Turkey Joint Arbitration Committee Co-President and TESK President Bendevi Palandöken, Türk-İş President Ergün Atalay, Hak-İş President Mahmut Arslan and TİSK Secretary General Bülent Pirler.​

Speaking at the business lunch attended by the Prime Minister of Malaysia Dato' Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak and his delegation, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan as well as the businessmen from the two countries, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that the establishment of a Free Trade Agreement and waiving visas would increase between the two countries.​

Attending the Domestic Franchises Meeting held by the Turkey Retailers Federation, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that 60% of the world economy is generated in cities, said, “The way is open for the retail sector. Those with complaints in regards to the sector should know that there’s still more money to be made in retail.”​

In his Holy Birth Week Address, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the paragon of humanity’s salvation, our Prophet has always been the best guide for those wanting to lead just and ethical lives.​

Speaking at the “Destination Italy – Invest in Italy” meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed his belief that Italy will be one of the driving forces behind Europe in the future and went on to state that Turkish entrepreneurs are ready to invest in Italy if obstructions to trade such as visas and transportation quotas are lifted, that dynamic Turkish companies bring liveliness and profit to wherever they go.​
