Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

In his statement tin regards to the Energy Security themed World Accreditation Day, the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Turkey must grasp the meaning, importance and necessity of accreditation in international trade if it is to achieve its 2023 goals.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the program held for the 125th anniversary of the founding of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Hisarcıklıoğlu drew attention to the medium-income trap which Turkey faces and emphasized the need to rekindle the flame of reform in order to overcome this situation.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Bursa Commodity Exchange Özer Matlı and the Board of Directors. Hisarcıklıoğlu extended his congratulations in regards to the elections and emphasized his belief that the Exchange under Özer Matlı will provide great services to Bursa and Turkey.​

EUROCHAMBRES Vice President and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended EUROCHAMBRES’ General Assembly in Brussels.​

Visiting Turkey, Turkmenistan President Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov toured the Bilkent Cyberpark, one of the most advanced technoparks in Turkey, along with TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov who was in Ankara.​

Speaking at the Contributions of Chambers to the Turkey – EU Civil Society Dialogue, ETCF-II Closing Session, EUROCHAMBRES Vice President and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that he supports Turkey’s EU membership and said, “The expedition of Turkey – EU negotiations and the advances in technical issues should not be halted because of political decisions.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with TRNC Parliament Speaker Sibel Siber, TRNC Prime Minister Özkan Yorgancıoğlu and Foreign Affairs Minister Özdil Nami. ​

In Nicosia for the Cyprus Chambers Summit, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu gave out books as report card presents to the students of the Hala Sultan Religious College which TOBB built dormitories for.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Turkey’s Ambassador to Nicosia, Halil İbrahim Akça.​
