In his letter of condolence for the Olympic champion former national weightlifter Naim Süleymanoğlu. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed that Süleymanoğlu, having crowned the uniform he wore with his many achievements, has been the source of pride for the Turkish nation.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, who spoke at the 23rd Executive Board Meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECO CCI), called on ECO countries to come together more and to cooperate. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “As ECO countries, we will become the center of trade between Asia and Europe by making our trade routes transparent, safe and fast. All the energy and commerce corridors between Asia and Europe are passing through our region. We have important arable lands and tourism potential. There is no region like it elsewhere in the world.”​

Speaking at the Global Participation Finance Summit (GPAS İSTANBUL 2017), TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that while the industry has taken important steps to improve the participation system, the industry has outperformed the classical banking system twice over in the last 10 years. Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that the participation banks work more closely with SMEs and said, “We also expect support from the banks in our struggle with high interest rates.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the Turkish - Palestinian Parliamentary Friendship Group President Hasan Turan and his accompanying member parliamentarians at the workshop organized at the TOBB.​

Employers who provide sustainable growth and increased employment with government support following a 48% increase in minimum wage over the last two years are demanding that employment incentives continue. The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and the Turkish Confederation of Employers' Associations, giving a joint statement, pointed out that in addition to the minimum wage increase of 2018, the cessation of state support would negatively affect the competitive power of the enterprises.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Tuna was elected Mayor Ankara Metropolitan Municipality at his office and conveyed his well wishes. ​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Mevlüt Uysal, elected to serve as İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, and expressed his well wishes.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that entrepreneurship was learned not by reading but by application, “We are aware of this as TOBB. We believe that your entrepreneurship is the future of Turkey. We are working to improve the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Turkey.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the General Assembly of the Association of Latin American Chambers of Commerce (AICO) held in Madrid. Accompanying Hisarcıklıoğlu were TOBB Vice Chairman and EBSO Chairman Ender Yorgancılar, Denizli Chamber of Commerce Chair Uğur Ercan, Trabzon CCE Chair Suat Hacısalihoğlu, Bursa Commodity Exchange Chair Özer Matlı, Uşak CCE Chair Suat Kandemir and TOBB Secretary General Mustafa Saraçöz.​
