“Entrepreneurs should be the apple in Turkey’s eye”

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the opening of the Aksaray Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s new service building. Hisarcıklıoğlu also signed the protocol for the building of the TOBB Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Aksaray. The TOBB President stated in his speech that entreprneeurs should be the apple in Turkey’s eye.​

Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Aksaray Governor Ataklı

Attending the opening of the Aksaray Chamber of Commerce (ATSO) in Aksaray, Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Governor Şeref Ataklı at his office. Stating that they are closely following the activities of ATSO and the Commodity Exchange, Hisarcıklıoğlu thanked those responsible for their endeavors. Expressing his view that Aksaray has a very bright future, Hisarcıklıoğlu stressed that Aksaray is a shining star of the province.​

In Kırşehir as a apart of the Akhism Week celebrations, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Kırşehir Agriculture - Livestock and Technologies Fair. Visiting the booths, Hisarcıklıoğlu received information on various agriculture technologies.​

Speaking at the Akhism Week celebrated in Kırşehir with the attendance of Prime Minister Davutoğlu, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “For us, Anatolia is not just the name of some piece of land, it is the name of the spirit of this land. One of the most important milestones of this land is Akhism.”​

“We want to increase trade with the USA”

Speaking at a meeting held in New York by TOBB, US Chamber of Commerce and Investment Promotion Agency with the attendance of the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they wish to increase trade with the USA. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The inclusion of Turkey in the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Agreement, or an FTA between Turkey and the USA would be concrete steps in increasing trade between the two countries.” Coca-Cola Board Chairman and CEO Muhtar Kent also urged US CEOs to invest in Turkey.​

Hisarcıklıoğlu met with ICC Board Chairman McGraw

TOBB President and ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) Board Member M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with ICC Board Chairman Terry McGraw in New York. During the meeting, ICC endeavors, the B20 itinerary and ICC – B20 relations were discussed. Also attending the meeting was TOBB Vice President Halim Mete.​

Seminar for TOBB’s council members

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) has begun holding seminars for nearly 10,000 council members in its chambers and exchanges. Council members are attending 3 day seminars to acquaint themselves with the activities of TOBB and chambers-exchanges. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu drew attention to the fact that information is the greatest inheritance in today’s world and emphasized that the seminar to inform nearly ten thousand council members is a first in TOBB’s history.​
