Democracy is as powerful as the entrepreneurial middle class
Over 150 foreign guests from 14 countries and the Quartet on the Middle East convened at the Partners for New Beginnings Global Summit – PNB Summit. Giving the opening speech of the summit, TOBB and PNB Turkey President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that Turkey is the transformative driving force of the region and said, “We aim to improve the relations with the entrepreneurs in PNB countries. In this regard, we also hope to become the center of entrepreneurship in the region.”

TOBB will provide employment to 6,000 Palestinians
The Memorandum of Understanding for the organized industry zone to be built by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in Palestine has been signed. The project, planned to be completed in three years, will provide employment to 6,000 Palestinians.

Support from former Prime Minister Blair for Hisarcıklıoğlu
Elected as the president of the Jerusalem Arbitration Center, established to resolve trade disputes between Israeli and Palestinian businessmen, TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu received the support of the former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, elected by the joint request of both Israeli and Palestinian businessmen, attended the opening ceremony of the Jerusalem Arbitration Center.
During his speech at the meeting he said, “We are at a turning point. I have been visiting this area as TOBB President since 2003. This is a dream becoming real,” and went on:

Hisarcıklıoğlu urges support for women and youth
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the Customs and Commerce Minister Hayati Yazıcı attended the Kars Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Kars Commodity Exchange Council Joint Meeting as guests. Hisarcıklıoğlu issued a call to Kars to support women and young entrepreneurs and stated that a market of 18 million would be created just 3 hours away with the opening of the Çıldır-Aktaş Customs Gate.

Hisarcıklıoğlu and Minister Yazıcı visited Kars TSO
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, along with Customs and Commerce Minister Hayati Yazıcı, visited the Kars Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO). Hisarcıklıoğlu and Minister Yazıcı also visited Governor Eyüp Tepe, Municipality President Nevzat Bozkuş, Union of Craftsmen and Artisans Chambers Chairman Adem Burulday at their offices prior to the Foundation Ceremony of the Çıldır-Aktaş Customs Gate while also visiting the City Council Building and the Ebu’l-Hasan Harakani Mausoleum and Cultural Center.

Hisarcıklıoğlu invited Finnish companies to invest in Turkey
Speaking at the Turkey – Finland Business Forum which took place in Helsinki, TOBB/DEİK President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the economic relations between turkey and Finland were not at the level they deserved to be and invited Finnish companies to invest in Turkey.
