TOBB Board Member Oğuzhan A. Sadıkoğlu gave information about TOBB's work in the telecommunications sector and his field visit to Turkcell Data Center in September.

At the council meeting, a presentation on the duties and objectives of the Presidential Office for Digital Transformation was given by Burcu Gündoğan, representative of the Presidential Office for Digital Transformation. In addition, detailed information was given to the members about the current support of telecommunications and data center service exports and the planned supports for the upcoming period by Hürol Karlı, head of the Department of Commerce.

Council Advisor Halil Yalçın presented his evaluations on the new trends in the telecommunications sector following the pandemic and noted the opinions and suggestions of the members.

Yiğit Ergin, Director of Engineering of Mobile Communication Technologies, gave information about Karel efforts as well a presentation on the developments in the sector regarding the production of as 4G and 5G systems and the domestic production conditions included/will be included in the tender specification.

At the end of the meeting, it was decided to prepare a detailed report on “Problems/ Solutions faced by the Telecommunications Sector during the Pandemic Period” with the contributions of a committee to be formed by the members.
