Speaking before the election of the presidency council, Engin Yeşil stated that with the Petroleum and Petroleum Products Industry Council, where Türkiye's leading petroleum and petroleum products industry companies are together, they will convey the needs and demands of the sector with a common voice and seek solutions to their problems together.

YeÅŸil reminded that they came together to elect the president and vice president of the Council and stated that after the election, they will start a new term with new members and a new presidential council with excitement.

- Ahmet Erdem was elected President of the Council

After the council members Council introduced themselves, the Council Presidency Council was elected and Ahmet Erdem, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shell & Turcas A.Ş., was elected as the Council Chairman, Murat Bilgin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bilginler Co Inc, and Ali Yılmaz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mevlana Petroleum Ltd. Ali Yılmaz was elected unanimously.

After the elections of the new presidency council, the council members discussed the problems of the sector. In the Petroleum Market Law No. 5015, the latest developments regarding the regulation on foreign sales, the impact of credit card commissions on the sector and the EMRA Board Decision on differentiated fuels were evaluated.

Bülent Yılmaz, Head of the Stamp Printing Department of the General Directorate of Mint and Stamp Printing Office of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, provided information on the latest developments regarding the National Vehicle Identification System.

Council Members were informed about the recent activities of the Non-Fuel Products Committee and the earthquake working group.
