The summit started with the opening speeches of KSO President Mustafa Büyükeğen, Mevlana Development Agency (MEVKA) Secretary General İhsan Bostancı, KOSGEB Vice President Bilal Kendirci and AK Party Konya MP Mustafa Hakan Özer.
Following the opening speeches, all processes of green transformation were discussed in 3 different sessions. In the first session titled ‘Green Transformation of Turkish Industry’ moderated by Hakan Güldağ, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ekonomi Newspaper, Memiş Kütükcü, President of the Supreme Organization of Organized Industrial Zones (OSBÜK), Murat Karakoyunlu, President of Konya Plain Project (KOP) Regional Development Administration, and Hakan Erten, Deputy Director General for Strategic Research and Productivity at the Ministry of Industry and Technology, expressed their views.
The second session titled ‘Green Deal, Carbon Regulation at the Border and its Impact on Industry’ was moderated by Mert Kuleoğlu, Deputy Environment Manager of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye. In this session, Eyüp Kaan Moralı, Head of the Carbon Pricing Department of the Climate Change Presidency, Dr. Bilal Düzgün, Deputy Head of the Energy Efficiency and Environment Department of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Mehmet Ergün, Environmental Surveillance and Verification Manager of TSE, and Zehra Betül Pekergin, Economic Development Unit Specialist of Mevlana Development Agency, made their presentations.
In the third session on ‘Green Finance, Investment and Sustainability’ moderated by Handan Sema Ceylan, Editor-in-Chief of Ekonomi Newspaper, Yeşim Akçollu, Senior Manager of Infrastructure and Energy Sectors at the World Bank; Mehtap Altuğ, Sustainability and Environmental Social Impact Manager at the Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye; Melis Bitlis, Escarus Director at the Industrial Development Bank of Türkiye; and Firdevs Kılıç, Sustainability Support Manager at KOSGEB, shared the details of green finance with the audience.
The summit ended with the questions of the participants.
