Iraq Transit Transport and IRU TIR EPD Use Webinar

With Iraq implementing the TIR System for transit transport as of April 1, 2025, road transport to Gulf countries via Iraq has commenced. Following the commencement of transport and subsequent developments, a webinar was held yesterday in collaboration with the TOBB Transportation and Logistics Systems Department TIR Operations Directorate and the International Road Transport Union (IRU).
The meeting addressed transit shipments through Iraq using the TIR Carnet.
During the webinar, a presentation was given to companies on the use of the TIR EPD system for shipments in Iraq.
In addition, participants were provided with detailed information on alternative routes accessible for transit shipments through Iraq and Syria.
