Entrepreneurship Capital Board will speak “a common tongue”
06.05.2011 /
TOBB Turkey Entrepreneurship Capital Board arrived at a consensus to clearly define a terminology for the sector, to create “a common tongue” for sector representatives in order to reach “a common understanding”.
The second meeting of TOBB Turkey Entrepreneurship Capital Board in the new term was held in TOBB Istanbul Service Building with “Determining the Board’s aims and modus operandi” and “Establishment of workgroups for the year 2011” on the agenda.
The meeting was attended by civil and private sectors’ and NGO’s high level representatives. As the need for a common terminology was agreed upon, the Board’s vision and aims were discussed.
Drawing attention to the need for a common terminology, the Board members stated that the legislation must first be discussed in detail. Emphasizing the importance of a common understanding, TOBB Turkey Entrepreneurship Capital Board President Göktekin Dinçerler also stated, “A common understanding must be reached. This common understanding should provide a reference point for individuals.”
It was also decided that human resources requirements and subjects of recognition and presentation should be addressed on their own. Demanding that deficiencies in the market be better detected, Board members stated that new ideas on policy implementation were needed.
-Workgroups
Taking into account suggestions of the Board members, workgroups were formed with the purposes of “shared vision”, “forming terminology”, “creating funds” and “investing and exiting investment”.
