Ability'10 Specialized Vocational Training Centers (UMEM) Project’s web site, opening an important door for unemployed people, is breaking to a record. Within 12 days, site received 7.7 million hits and 12.000 course application.
President of TOBB, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, underlined the importance of Project in terms of solving the unemployment problem and stated “We should notice this Project. There is no such a big Project that will help unemployed people to gain profession and jobs and help employers to benefit from qualified workforce. The interest for the web site shows the scale of the employment problem.”
Mr. Hisarcıklıoğlu, explained the interest for the web site as “This is an incredible record. I encounter with such a situation for the first time.”
Vocational trainings started on 17 January. Goal for this year is to have 200 thousand people employed. If the demand is higher more people will be provided opportunity. By the Ability’10 Project the aim in 5 years is to provide job opportunities to 5 million people.
Project is realized in cooperation with Ministry of Labour and Social Security, Ministry of Education, TOBB, TOBB-ETÜ, TEPAV.
