Speaking at the reception held by the International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) for TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Prime Ministry Deputy Ali Babacan and TOBB members in conjunction with the Turkey Investment Week, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they are representing 1.5 million Turkish companies in the USA.
TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated to the American investors that they are ready to prepare the necessary infrastructure for them to do business in Turkey.
Drawing attention to the progress made by Turkey in the field of passenger airlines, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that İstanbul will reach a passenger capacity of 150 million by the end of the year, becoming a global city.
Prime Minister Deputy Ali Babacan thanked the ILFC officials and stated that the meeting would present opportunities in dealing with the Turkish and EU business communities.
ILFC Director General Hooman Yazhari expressed their pleasure in hosting Babacan and said, “We can clearly see that Turkey and İstanbul are rapidly developing towards becoming a global center of attraction.”
US Chamber of Commerce Vice President Khush Choksy stated that they view Turkey as very important in carrying many companies to the Middle East and Africa.
