Adana Commodity Exchange Campus foundations laid

The foundations for Adana Commodity Exchange Campus were laid in a ceremony attended by the President of the Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Gül, Customs and Commerce Minister Hayati Yazıcı, Culture and Tourism Minister Ömer Çelik and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.​

TOBB Board Member and Adana Commodity Exchange Council Chairman Şahin Bilgiç stated in his speech that the most important duty of commodity exchanges is to ensure the formation of realistic and healthy prices.

 

Bilgiç reported that Adana Commodity Exchange had processed transactions of 5.5 million tons of goods, equal to approximately 5 billion TRY.

 

The Commodity Exchange Campus will reach a 100,000 tons storage capacity in 2 years, incrementally increasing its transaction capacity of 5 billion TRY, reported Bilgiç and emphasized his conviction that Adana will do its part in regards to Turkey’s 2023 goals.
