Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the solution to unemployment lies in entrepreneurship, going on to report that 1 million new people join the employment force each year and that the only way to provide jobs to everyone is through entrepreneurship.

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized the need to increase the number entrepreneurs in order to increase prosperity.

Stating that the current generation is very lucky in regards to entrepreneurship, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “I would like to stress to the university students in the hall here today: Gravitate towards a sector related to your field of education. That is the appropriate training you receive. That is very important for success.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated the need for increasing the number of woman entrepreneurs in Turkey, urging that women should not just be confined to homes.

The TOBB President said that the generation which had no knowledge of the internet or technology, brought Turkey’s export volume up to 152 billion USD from 3 billion USD in just 30 years, “I believe that the current generation will greatly increase our export volume. Our goods have spread to all over the world.”

- The importance of branding

“If you want to make large amounts of money, you need to market your goods well and make them into brands,” said Hisarcıklıoğlu and went on, “After branding, you need innovation,” going on to provide examples, Hisarcıklıoğlu spoke in regards to the nature of entrepreneurship:

“First you must dream. Dreams are the freest you will be. Then you must set yourselves a goal and work hard. Hard work is behind success. Work honestly and do not be afraid to fail. The essence of entrepreneurship is courage.”
