“One of the sectors to have made significant progress and draw attention to itself in recent years is the insurances sector.
We do not know what risks await us. The floods in the Balkans are a poignant reminder of the importance of insurance. Insurance may not bring lost life back but it will aid in financial recovery, prevent damage to a country and save those who remain unnecessary grief.
My belief that we will reach our 500 billion USD export volume by working together and producing to achieve our shared goal for the centennial anniversary of our Republic is firm. However, we must ensure the resources and costs for taking the necessary steps to achieve these goals and to grow. This is where insurance comes in, sharing the risk with us; contributing to the country’s economy.
We must bring up the new generation well, show them the painful lessons we’ve had to learn and teach them the alternatives for minimizing risk. That is why, as the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, we are determined to spread awareness of the insurance system to each individual of society.
In this regard, we will be holding various events with our Chambers and Exchanges throughout Turkey to raise awareness to this issue.
I celebrate the Insurance week of the whole business community, the insurance sector, our citizens and the the Insurance Agencies and Insurance Experts organized by our Union.”
