Emphasizing that they put great importance on high level relations between Turkey and Kazakhstan, Nazarbayev reminded that they had come to understanding on various matters during his last visit to Turkey and went on, “It is important to follow up on these now. I would like to offer an invitation regarding the implementation of the guidelines.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu, thanking President Nazarbayev for receiving him, stated that they aim to improve the relations between the business communities of the two countries during his Kazakhstan visit.

Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We were honored to host you in Turkey. With you as its leader, our friend Kazakhstan achieved great success and we are proud of you. It is gratifying to see Kazakhstan’s economic successes and we stand ready to contribute to the country’s 2050 action plan.”

Emphasizing that they will achieve the goal of 10 billion USD in trade volume between Turkey and Kazakhstan set forth by Nazarbayev and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that Turkish business community will be conducting visits in order to actualize a series of investment projects.

- Meeting with the Kazakhstan Prime Minister Akhmetov

Afterwards, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the Kazakhstan Prime Minister Akhmetov. During the meeting, the Prime Minister drew attention to the fact that Turkish companies have successfully completed many projects in Kazakhstan.

Stating that they hope to benefit from Turkey and TOBB’s great industrial investments, Akhmetov said that they will instate a strong Chambers system similar to the one in Turkey and through this, they will strengthen their strong relations with Turkey even further.

Stating that speaking Turkish is a great plus for both countries, the Kazakh Prime Minister said that they will welcome TOBB/GTİ/TEPAV representatives who will provide training in regards to the Turkish Chambers system, Customs Gates and Organized Industry Zones/Free Economic Zones.

The Kazakh Prime Minister Akhmetov stated that they are very fortunate to have such a successful and strong example like Turkey and TOBB in front of them, emphasizing that through close exchange of ideas, Kazakhstan can become one of the prominent economies of the world.

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that TOBB is in close cooperation with ATAMEKEN and that the training programs will take place at the soonest opportunity, pointing out that the business world’s attention is on Kazakhstan’s 2030 vision and goals.

Stating that there are many cooperation opportunities, Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that Kazakhstan needs to instate a strong Chambers system as soon as possible.

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said that Turkey has undergone a huge transformation in the last 30 years and has become one of the world’s prominent economies as its industry came to hold a greater share of its economy as opposed to agriculture.
