Alagöz stated that expos are only viewed as organizations of exposition companies; that it is necessary to make the strengthening of expos a state policy.

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they would work diligently to meet the expectations of the sector. He also reported that the sector’s demand for recognition into “foreign currency earning services” status would be followed up on.

Also present during the meeting were TOBB Secretary General Mustafa Saraçöz, Sectors and Enterprise Department Chair Ozan Acar and Sector Councils Director Ahmet Altıntuğlu.

At the end of the meeting, TOBB Turkey Expo Council Chair Cihat Alagöz presented Hisarcıklıoğlu with a thank you plaque on behalf of the sector. Engraved on the plaque is: “We present to you our deepest gratitude for your vision and successful endeavors in elevating the expo sector to global standards.”
