Pointing out that Bodur had also acted as TOBB Board Member and Vice President, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The business community has lost an important member and philanthropist with the passing of Mr. Bodur.

Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his message regarding the passing of Bodur:

“We have learned to our great sorrow of the passing of a veteran of the business community, İbrahim Bodur.

He was an important role model and guide for Turkish entrepreneurs. He was an important proponent of industry spreading to Anatolia and Anatolia becoming a brand. He was an entrepreneur whose place will not be easily filled and whose name will be remembered by future generations of entrepreneurs.

Having also taken on the duties of TOBB Vice President and Board Member, Mr. Bodur laid the foundations of one of Turkey’s most important groups.

Providing jobs to thousands, he was one of the most beneficent of people.

İbrahim Bodur’s name will be remembered always with great respect in the history of the Turkish private sector and industry.

I pray for the grace of Allah upon him and extend our condolences to his family, loved ones and the Turkish business community. May heaven be his abode.”
