Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the TOBB ETU alumni

TOBB President and TOBB ETU Board of Trustees Chairman M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the members of the TOBB ETU Alumni Association. Stating that TOBB ETU is a very young university and has just graduated its 5th term students, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We must be able to produce things by ourselves. Wear the university’s pin with pride. Recognize each other during your careers. You must adopt your university. You must do it for yourselves.”
Stating that TOBB ETU began education in 2004 with 270 students and, today, has 1,400 alumni and 3,500 students, Hisarcıklıoğlu reminded that the world-renowned universities Oxford, Cambridge and Harvard were established centuries ago. TOBB ETU is laying the foundations of a legacy said Hisarcıklıoğlu, and that its students would contribute greatly to this.
Stating that there is nowhere on earth without problems, Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that problems can only be solved with positive approaches, Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed that the same approach should be used in issues relating to TOBB ETU. Urging that the alumni employ TOBB ETU graduates, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the Alumni Association must be adopted by the students of TOBB ETU.
- Business life advice for graduates
Hisarcıklıoğlu gave advice to the graduates in regards to their business lives. Asking that graduates to not shirk taking on responsibility, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “You cannot advance without taking on responsibility. Make plans for your life. Specialize in your profession. Remember that there is no success without cost. There will always be obstacles, you must overcome them. Know the value of the moment and be content. When you make a decision, don’t procrastinate. Produce solutions, not excuses.”
TOBB ETU Alumni Association President Orhan Toptaş and Association Coordinator Buse Turpçu provided information regarding the activities of the association.
