TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu has been reelected to the office of Board Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (ICCIA). Hisarcıklıoğlu is quite remarkable as the only person to hold office in both Eurochambres, Europe’s highest level representation of chambers, and ICCIA, the umbrella organization of the chambers of 57 Islamic countries.

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu has been reelected to the office of Board Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (ICCIA). Hisarcıklıoğlu is quite remarkable as the only person to hold office in both Eurochambres, Europe’s highest level representation of chambers, and ICCIA, the umbrella organization of the chambers of 57 Islamic countries.

A part of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC), ICCIA’s 49th Finance Committee and 16th Board of Directors Meeting took place in Doha hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Qatar.
During the elections held during the ICCIA Board of Directors Meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu was unanimously elected Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture Board Member, Executive Council Member and Vice President. Sheikh Saleh Kamel was also reelected as the President of the ICCIA Board of Directors.
During the meeting, representatives of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Egypt, Iran, Pakistan, Kuwait, Uganda, Jordan, Oman, Sudan, United Arab Emirates and Qatar the need to increase the cooperation between Islamic countries was emphasized and it was decided that a plan of action for the coming term be implemented.
