Addressing the council members, the TOBB President drew attention to the importance of entrepreneurship, “We must be organized to find employment for a million people every year. The way to achieve this is via increasing the number of our entrepreneurs. We come from a culture which abhors waste but still we waste half of the population. Treat your sons and daughters equally. Encourage your daughters to be more entrepreneurial.”

Emphasizing that the reason underlying Kayseri’s success is the fact that its opinion leaders stand united, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The Chamber / Exchange presidents, governor, municipality director all move as one for Kayseri. We all lose when someone tries to get ahead.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that Kayseri has increased its exports volume from 350 million USD to 1.6 billion USD, said that this was a great success and that Kayseri will reach an exports volume of 10 billion USD in 10 years.

Reminding the gravitas of the mission taken on by the council members in this tumultuous period, the TOBB President said, “All of the weight of the industry in Kayseri rests on your shoulders. You need to be sharing their hardships and providing solutions to their problems.”

Reporting that they’ve started to work towards providing their members with low-interest financial resources, Hisarcıklıoğlu went on, “We’re working to bring interest rates down to single digits. We have conducted work to ensure safe collection of revenues in regards to checks. Now we are working on claims insurance. The maximum figure for insuring your claims will be 0.4% of the total. Let’s say they went bankrupt, you get 90% of your money back. We are working to widen its use.

We have new projects in the field of economy as well. Vocational training will now be handled by the chambers and exchanges of the province. We are establishing entrepreneurship centers. We will guide people who have good ideas but no practical knowledge in establishing their own companies. We will be arranging to bring together those looking to invest capital and those in need of capital. Thanks to the NACE system, we now have contact information for all of our 1.5 million members. We will bring all of these to life together. Turkey will benefit as we achieve our goals.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Allah will provide you with prosperity for the unity you’ve achieved. Everyone may think differently but when we come together in common sense we will shoot for the same target. If we don’t we will not reach our targets. We will think differently but act in unison.”
