TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that their goal is to ensure that Diyarbakır becomes richer and that this will be achieved via the exchange, said, “We can achieve this is we act with unity and solidarity. In this regard, the residents of Diyarbakır and the Diyarbakır Commodity Exchange are lucky – there is a minister from Diyarbakır. He can assist with solving the issues of the private sector. I will be with you 24 hours, 365 days as needed. Turkey is as rich as Diyarbakır is prosperous.”

Food, Agriculture and Livestock Minister Mehdi Eker said, “We will strengthen the middle-class as we render trade more qualified in its actions.”

Stating that the driving force behind the region’s economy is agriculture and livestock, Eker said, “By developing agricultural industry and diversifying agricultural goods while also integrating these with the food industry, we have the opportunity to market the region’s goods to not only the markets throughout Turkey, but the Middle East markets as a whole.”

Following the speeches, Hisarcıklıoğlu presented the DTB board with a sweets basket.
