- New Board of Directors

The new Board of Directors, presided over by M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu is comprised of: İbrahim Çağlar (İstanbul Chamber of Commerce President), Harun Karacan (Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce President), Necdet Özer (Denizli Chamber of Commerce President), Ender Yorgancılar (Aegean Region Chamber of Industry President), Memiş Kütükçü (Konya Chamber of Industry President), Çetin Osman Budak (Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry President), İbrahim Burkay (Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry President), Salih Zeki Murzioğlu (Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry President), Cengiz Günay (Tekirdağ Chamber of Commerce and Industry President), Faik Yavuz (Ankara Commodity Exchange President), Çamur Ali Kopuz (İstanbul Commodity Exchange President), Şahin Bilgiç (Adana Commodity Exchange Council President), Ebubekir Bal (Diyarbakır Commodity Exchange President), Halim Mete (İstanbul Chamber of Maritime Commerce Vice President).

In his acceptance speech, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they have undergone a long period of elections and said, “Allah willing, we are completing the last stage of elections of our community. I have always been greatly honored and proud of being your president and working with you."

Stating that he has been nominated with the joint request of 365 chambers and exchanges, 734 delegates, for the Presidency of TOBB, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that he has always been assured of the power of the delegates throughout the process, saying, "Your support has been my most joyous support. It is very gratifying to know that I have earned your appreciation and love to such a degree. This is a unique experience. I am very fortunate to have such a large family. I stand here through your support and courage."

Stating that there are many applications to work with the branches of the union, Hisarcıklıoğlu went on:

"I am sure that all of my colleagues are qualified to take on such duties. They will fulfill these duties in the best possible capacity, unfortunately there are only a limited amount of positions. That is why we have polled for who among our friends may best fill these offices, once again utilizing the method of arbitration. We have strived to reach the most fair results."

Hisarcıklıoğlu, pointing out that every one of the presidents of the 365 chambers and exchanges affiliated with the union are of a capacity to serve in the board of directors, stated that acting in unity and solidarity is of the essence.
