The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) was reelected as vice president to the United Nations World Tourism Organization’s Affiliate Members’ Board.

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) was reelected as vice president to the United Nations World Tourism Organization’s Affiliate Members’ Board.
The UNWTO General Assembly took place in Zimbabwe and Zambia, co-hosted by the two countries between the 24th and 29th of August.
During the Affiliate Members’ Board Elections at the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe on the 27th of August, TOBB was reelected to its role as Vice President which it held since March, 2012.
As a member of the Board as the Vice President, TOBB will continue to take on responsibilities in global organizations of actors in the field of tourism which influence tourism throughout the world for another two years.
UNWTO Secretary General Taleb Rifai, in a statement following the election, stated that the two institutions had previously undertaken successful joint projects together before and that he is happy and proud to be working with TOBB for another term.
