“National sovereignty is an indispensable form of government for Türkiye”

The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his message published on the occasion of April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, stated that national sovereignty is an indispensable form of government for Türkiye and that, “Our children who grow up with this fact and are equipped with knowledge are our greatest assurance for our future.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu included the following statements in his message:
“We celebrate the anniversary of the opening of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and the acceptance of national sovereignty once again with enthusiasm and joy. We are also proud to be the first and only country in the world to bestow a holiday unto its children and to share this holiday with the whole world.
We are grateful and thankful to Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all his comrades-in-arms for giving us this day of pride. We have to be worthy of our glorious and our ancestors history who put their lives on the line for the sake of independence and national sovereignty.
As Atatürk said, national sovereignty is the basis of freedom, equality and justice. Immediately after our fight for independence, our race for civilization, which will last for eternity, began and was set as the greatest goal for our children.
With these feelings and thoughts, on behalf of the Turkish business world, I celebrate our nation on April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day.”
