He said that establishing the High Level Strategic Cooperation Council and the removal of visas between two countries had given businessmen excitement. He continued that, by establishing a multidimensional economic cooperation with Ukraine, the size of the relations would return into a strategic cooperation.
“Turkey would be especially interested in Ukraine’s appraisal of renewable energy sources, 40.000 quality residence projects for the middle-bracket income and recycling of city wastes projects.” Hisarciklioglu continued.

He talked about the challenges Turkish businessmen face in doing business in Ukraine. Also, he pointed out that there should be a decrease in bureaucracy, standardization in custom operations, mitigation of challenges about VAT returns and ending the obligation about standard certificate for Turkish export products.

Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mikola Azarov told that they see Turkey as their closest neighbor and they are working hard to improve their economic, cultural and political relations with Turkey. Azarov continued: “Since 1st of March, automated VAT return system started operating and every firm that keeps up with our legislation can benefit this system. This is a part of extensive tax reform. Income tax is reduced to %23 and starting from 2014, VAT will be reduced to %17.”
Telling that Ukraine needs investments, Azarov stated: “We invite you all to Ukraine. Our country is an open market for investments. We guarantee you oru government’s support for your participation to big projects.” He continued to his speech stating that they want to make Ukraine an attractive investment country and prepare a program for this.
