- “We must compete in charity as we compete in profits”

Speaking at the opening of the Elazığ Hacı Sıdıka Dumandağ Quran Boarding Course, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that Allah ordains people to compete in charity, saying, “Toil and charity concepts are very important in our culture. No earthly toil is wasted.”

Constructed by the Elazığ Commodity Exchange President Mehmet Ali Dumandağ on behalf of his mother, Hacı Sıdıka Dumandağ, the Quran Boarding Course opening was attended by the Religious Affairs President Mehmet Görmez, Elazığ District Governor Muammer Erol, TOBB Board Member Faik Yavuz, Elazığ Commodity Exchange President Mehmet Ali Dumandağ, Elazığ Municipality President Süleyman Selmanoğlu, All Industrialists and Businessmen Association (TÜMSİAD) President Hasan Sert, Elazığ Mufti Peyami Güngör, former Elazığ Mufti and Aydın Mufti Ömer Kocağlu in addition to TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.
Hisarcıklıoğlu, relating  that the construction of said building was initiated by the same people, emphasized that when people die, the things that would carry on their names is the work that they leave behind. “The most beneficent of people are those who are beneficent to others”, Hisarcıklıoğlu went on saying that when construction came to a halt they contacted the Ministry of Transportation to continue the work. Hisarcıklıoğlu also thanked Mehmet Ali Dumandağ for his charitable work.

Additional speeches were given by Religious Affairs President Mehmet Görmez, Elazığ Commodity Exchange President Mehmet Ali Dumandağ, Elazığ Municipality President Süleyman Selmanoğlu, Elazığ Mufti Peyami Güngör and former Elazığ Mufti and newly appointed Aydın Mufti Ömer Kocaoğlu emphasizing the importance of the occasion. Following the speeches, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu presented plaques to the contributors of the construction of the course. Hisarcıklıoğlu himself was presented a plaque for his contributions and attendance.

- Opening of the new Elazığ Commodity Exchange Service Building

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Elazığ Commodity Exchange’s new Service Building opening ceremony. Pointing out the fact that regional goods would be on sale in the new Service building, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that even though Elazığ is one of the first places that come to mind when goat cheese is mentioned, Elazığ still should get a geographical marker for it.

Hisarcıklıoğlu said “If there is unity and solidarity in a province, it will profit” in reference to the cooperation between the District Governor, Municipality President and the Chamber Presidents.

- Agriculture and livestock are no longer just for subsistence but for earning money as well

Hisarcıklıoğlu spoke; “Agriculture and livestock are very important to us. Where they used to be only for feeding ourselves, they are now avenues for profit. Turkey must bring new order to its agriculture and livestock, we can give up on neither.”

- TÜMSİAD Elazığ Branch opening

During the ceremony TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity.

TÜMSİAD President Hasan Sert pointed out that the only goal of the organization was to serve Turkey’s interests. Sert stated that their aim is to facilitate the global activity of domestic values, and went on to praise Hisarcıklıoğlu for his ability to lead and propagate synergy.

- Initiation of the Elazığ Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s new Service Building construction

During his contacts in Elazığ, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the initiation of the Elazığ Chamber of Commerce and Industry new Service Building’s construction. Hisarcıklıoğlu congratulated those who have lent their efforts to it. Elazığ Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Ali Şekerdağ expressed his thanks, saying, “We have worked hard to get here today. I am grateful to everyone.”

- Visit to the Damla Hospital

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited one of the most important private enterprises in Elazığ, the Private Damla Hospital which started operations recently. Receiving a briefing about the hospital, Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the various wards.

- TOBB President’s words have guided new enterprises in Elazığ

Attending the initiation of the Güç Panel Systems company’s construction, Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed his well wishes. Güç Panel Systems company’s representative Süleyman Çeker stated that the TOBB President’s speech two years earlier had inspired them to endeavor in this enterprise and his words about unity and solidarity had moved him deeply.
