The number of capacity reports approved in 2023 (53,351) decreased by 3.2% (1,750) compared to 2022 (55,101).

Of the 5,109 capacity reports approved in December, 1,203 were issued in İstanbul, 352 in Bursa, 338 in İzmir, 310 in Ankara, 217 in Konya, 200 in Kocaeli, 195 in Gaziantep, 161 in Tekirdağ, 127 in Adana and 125 in Kayseri.

The total number of active capacity reports in the TOBB Industry Database increased by 1.6% (1,522) from 95,772 in December 2022 to 97,294 in December 2023.

According to Active Capacity Reports, the total number of employees increased by 3.2% (122,520 units) from 3,870,755 in December 2022 to 3,993,275 in December 2023.

Capacity reports are compiled by local Chambers and approved by TOBB for: utilization of bench, device, machine and motive force in processing raw materials, semi-and complete products, property, content, composition or shape in full or in part; for businesses that produce a new product in serial or standard, and for those who operate and operate underground resources and produce software with information technology.
