The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu celebrated the October 29th Republic Day with a message. Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that the Republic is the most beautiful symbol for a democratic country, the most meaningful value, said, “Under the leadership of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms, with the support of an entire nation, the Republic established after our national war is the most valuable virtue worthy of us." TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his message:
“October 29th, 1923 is one of the proudest days of our history. In fact, this date on which our Republic was declared, which we believe is the most worthy form of governance for our nation, contains a great epic struggle for salvation, the heroism of our young men, soldiers who fought against the occupying forces, at the cost of their lives on the frontlines, the determination of this nation to never give up its independence.
The 97-year-old Republic of Turkey, rooted in thousands of years, is the most beautiful partnership of millions who have made a union of destiny in this land. As the Turkish business world, it is up to us to achieve economic growth with new investments, production, trade. With the belief that we will do this, I wholeheartedly share the joy of this beautiful and meaningful day of our country. Long live the Republic!”
