Tourism sector met at the Tourism Conference

The Tourism Conference held for the second time in Ankara through the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and Mastercard cooperation, was held with the attendances of TOBB Board Member Davut Çetin, Culture and Tourism Ministry Promotion General Director Timuçin Güler and Mastercard Turkey and Azerbaijan General Director Yiğit Çağlayan.​
TOBB Board Member Davut Çetin, during in his speech at the opening of the meeting, stated that Turkey is an important destination in the world of tourism but still has a way to go to become that the most preferred country, stressing the importance of digitization to this end.
Çetin, emphasizing the importance of the processing of all data in Turkey’s digital transformation and stressed the importance of data for tourism.
Touching on development of public-private sector cooperation in digitalization, Çetin pointed out the role of TOBB Sector Councils in public-private sector cooperation and that Turkey Tourism Council’s efforts are ongoing with this in mind.
Çetin stated the need to increase Turkey's digital signage, e-commerce and underlined the need to proliferate smart cities.
