Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

He was born in Istanbul in 1969. Graduated from Behçet Kemal Çağlar High School and received an International Relations Bachelor's Degree from Faculty of Economics of Anadolu University. He received his Diploma In Maritime Management from London City College in London. In 1990, he started working in Kiran Holding, a family owned company operating in shipbuilding and shipping line operation fields. He is currently serving as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Kıran, was elected as the 8th President of İMEAK Chamber of Maritime Commerce of Istanbul and Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean and Black Sea regions on April 8th, 2018. He still holds this office along with current Deputy President of the Board the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey.

• Member of Board of Directors of Turkish Shipowners Employers' Union,
• Member of the Board of TURMEPA Deniztemiz Association,

• Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Shipowners Employers' Union between 2014-2018. 
Tamer Kıran, who is fluent in English, is married and has three children.
