Engin Yeşil was born in Diyarbakır in 1966. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Diyarbakır. 

He worked at Yeşil Construction Packaging Textile Agriculture Industry Tic. A.Ş. and Green Pack Packaging Tic. San. Ltd.Şti, Cihan İnşaat Gübrecilik Petrol Turizm Temizlik Hizmetleri Özel Güvenlik Tarım. San. LLC and Enal Tekstil Yağ Gıda İnş. Tem.San.Tic. LLC as a Company Partner. He also has various authorized dealerships in the agricultural field.

Between 2004 and 2015, he was the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Diyarbakır Commodity Exchange and since 2015, he has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Since 2018, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of TOBB.
